The Irbis STOL aircraft is designed for those interested in aircraft with individual style and requirements. Due to the excellent characteristics of the wing and robustness of the structure, the aircraft can be operate in a 120 HP - 180 HP engine even at very short airports.
The excellent chassis with hydraulic shock absorbers and wheels 21 “x 12” makes it possible to operate from very poor surfaces. When installing a 120 HP engine, Irbis STOL becomes the top in the STOL category.
When modifying the aircraft it is necessary to respect the maximum empty and take-off weight according to the category of operation (450/600 kg). This limits the aircraft's configuration options, but on the other hand, the low weight, powerful wing and powerful engine give the aircraft exceptional flight performance and characteristics.
If major modifications are made to the aircraft, the aircraft will be operated as a prototype.
With an extra width of 1.25 m and a natural seating position, the cockpit provides comfort even on long flights. All controls are ergonomically designed and easily accessible from both seats, so they require minimal attention during operation.
The construction of the aircraft is all-metal. The highest quality materials are used such as aircraft alloy 6061 or steel ASI 4130. The entire control is fitted with ball bearings.
Fuselage, wings and tail surfaces are half-shell construction. The wing is equipped with a flap and aileron.
The chassis is designed with a star wheel.
Steering wheel-type steering or a "stick" control lever are mounted, but this does not make it easier to board.
Convenience on the plane is ensured by a large cab with a width of 1.25 m, adjustable seats with the possibility of electric shifting and sophisticated layout of all controls, tested on our previous projects.
The propulsion of the aircraft is taken care of by the proven Rotax 912 engine, which with the missile rescue system guarantees the aircraft a high level of reliability and safety.
The 80-liter fuel tank has Irbis aircraft in wings.
